Research Director
Research cultural dynamics, social trends and communications infrastructure in underevangelized Muslim countries/communities/areas to identify and evaluate the potential for new stations and websites. Develop and maintain a digital library of publications, maps, etc., regarding muslim people groups, countries and immigration trends to support research, station/website operations, programing development and other uses by GRO personnel. Review, confirm, and update the information in the library semi-annually or whenever significant new information is obtained. Populate the Global Ministry Mapping System with the Populated Places Database with data obtained during research on Muslim countries and people groups, including immigrant and refugee populations. Establish and maintain liaison with other organizations researching and working with Muslim areas and populations relevant to GRO operations to share information and build the database. Conduct periodic fact-finding trips to Muslim cities and refugee camps, as well as visits with experts, missions research organizations, missionary organizations, service groups, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and colleges and universities that study Muslim culture and countries. Seek locations within the United States where there is a population consisting of a variety of Muslim language and cultural backgrounds with the potential of recruiting personnel to operate and support multiple websites and stations from one facility to optimize the use of staff and resources. If US locations cannot be found, seek similar locations abroad. Provide information and recommendations to the CEO and other directors in support of strategic and operational planning
