Be Part of the Miracle

Just over a year ago I published an article that I entitled, ‘So, Why 80,000?’. We were struggling to raise $80,000 in our banquet offering. We were stuck at about $40k and looking for a miracle, and we got one. It ended up being the highest banquet offering that we’d ever had. Great things got done.

What was that, you ask. Well, the main thing is that we were stuck being only able to have about 350,000 people per year visit our outreach websites, and we want to reach more, many more. Our goal was to get system upgrades that would allow us to have over a million visitors per year. As a result, we were able to upgrade some things on our network – not all that we want to do, but what we’d hoped to do then. The result? We’re now on track to have 1.25 million visitors to our sites in the current year!! Praise God!

Now enters a new problem. We’re getting so many new visitors that the network is slowing down. We need to do more upgrades. This one is even more critical because the slowness of the network is keeping some people from finding the pages where they can ask to receive Jesus or ask for discipleship.

So, here we are again, again looking for $80,000. We’re sitting at (unofficially) about $68,000 right now. We are still hoping for at least one gift that will give us a big boost, but it’s not enough to put us over the top. We could use that for the equipment and software upgrades that we need to make a million visitors possible, which will also allow many of them to respond to Jesus. A million seeds planted in hearts!
